Service Criteria/Support Offered:

ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor)

Criteria: 14 yrs and over, Male or Female who reside in Teesside Area. (Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool) We can also offer support to those who have a Court Case within the Teesside Court.

Appointments can be held at our centre located in Middlesbrough or at another suitable venue such as home visits

About: Our ISVA Service will give you access to Trained Advisors who can offer practical help and Support if your case has already been reported to the Police or if you are considering reporting it. The Criminal Justice System can be very daunting and confusing and you may come into contact with Agencies such as Police, Crown Prosecution Service and Witness Care etc. Our Trained and Qualified ISVA’s will work independently of them and support you throughout the process.


ArchWay Project

ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor – for people involved in or exploited through prostitution/sex work)

Criteria: 18 yrs and over, Male or Female who reside in Teesside and Tyne & Wear areas. Our Archway Project provides clients with Trained, Experienced Advisors who can offer Discreet, Emotional and/or Practical Support.

Appointments can be held at safe locations, other suitable venue such as home visits

About: If you have experienced Sexual Abuse, either historically or recently and are considering reporting, the ISVA can explain your support options; this does not mean you have to report to the Police. If you do decide to report to the Police the ISVA can also fully support you with this process and any Court procedure that might follow. The ISVA can also Support you to keep safe whilst you are working and offer information regarding the Third Party reporting site known as ‘National Ugly Mugs’ whose aim is to keep people involved in the Sex Industry safe.


Counselling

Criteria:14 yrs and over, Male or Female who reside in MIDDLESBROUGH Area only. If you are accessing Arch ISVA Service and reside outside of Middlesbrough you will be offered Counselling through internal methods.

Appointments can be held at our centre located in Middlesbrough. Counselling service does not provide outreach appointments 

About: Our Counsellors work to BACP Ethics and Standards, they are specialised in providing Therapeutic Support for Survivors and Supporters of Sexual Violence. If a client has reported and going through the court Justice Process our Counsellors will then provide Pre-Trial Therapy sessions.


LESA (Life Enhancement Skills Advisor)

Criteria:14 yrs and over, Male or Female who are currently accessing one or more of Arch services. (Referrals made only via Internal Method Only)

Appointments can be held at safe locations, other suitable venue such as home visits

About: The service offers help and support on a wide range of issues and is only available to Arch clients. If you have suffered rape or sexual abuse, you may find you are unable to deal with everyday issues and need some practical and/or emotional support.
